This is the moment a teenage boy is kicked in the head and whipped by two men while lying on the ground in a brutal street attack that has left the youngster fighting for his life in hospital.

The shocking incident occurred in the Kutahya province, central Turkey after a 17-year-old named in reports as I.E.G. allegedly stabbed 40-year-old Y.H. in the leg during an argument.

Y.H. is then said to have begun beating the teenager with the help of his friend, named in reports as K.G., no age given.

In the video recorded by an onlooker, two men can be seen beating the victim as he lies on the ground. One of them kicks the teenager in the head while the other whips him with a belt.

The pair continue the brutal beating as onlooker tries to stop them, with one thug continually whipping the teenager as the other stamps and kicks his head.

Police officers then run to the scene and arrest the two thugs. Local media report ambulances were called and both I.E.G. and Y.H., who had been stabbed, were taken Kutahya Medical Sciences University Evliya Celebi Research and Training Hospital while K.G. was arrested.

Y.H. was arrested after receiving medical treatment. I.E.G. remains in the intensive care unit of the hospital with heavy injuries to his head and his condition is described as critical.

It is unclear if the two suspects have been charged. It is unclear what the argument which started the fight was about.
