This is the moment a BMW belonging to a popular Russian influencer crashes on a Russian city street as a huge display of fireworks is let off through the window.

The stunt was supposed to produce footage for online business coach Azamat Talkhin’s social media, according to local media in Ufa, in Russia’s south-western Bashkortostan region.

Instead, the driver lost control of the motor on the icy road and crashed head-first into a roadside barrier.

The footage starts with Talkhin’s white BMW skidding around a corner into a wide street followed by an identical car.

As they both fishtail down the road in the synchronised stunt, a man leans out of the rear passenger window firing off blasts from a huge aerial bombshell.

Then without warning the lead BMW suddenly loses traction and spins 90 degrees, crashing straight into a corrugated steel barrier next to a building site.

Dazed Talkhin leaps out of the window and the footage ends as he apparently helps others evacuate the crashed car.

But the show-off influencer got a rocket from City Hall officials.

Mayor Ratmir Mavliev fumed on social media: “Of course, it’s beautiful when performed on specially equipped tracks.

“This is unacceptable in the city.”

He added: “I ask drivers to obey traffic rules and not endanger the lives of other road users!”

Talkhin suffered minor injuries but he may face charges as police are said to be “carefully studying” the footage, according to local media.

It was unclear at the time of writing if any arrests had been made or any fines issued.
