The hilarious video shows a woman sliding down a frozen path before falling to the ground as her daughter follows in her footsteps in a bid to rescue her.

Surveillance camera footage recorded in a family’s home in the city of Dazhou, in China’s southwestern province of Sichuan, shows the mother leaving the home on 22nd January.

But just as she strolled out of the yard she slid down an ice-covered path while carrying a huge box in her arms. Seconds later she dropped the box, lost her balance, and fell to the ground.

Having witnessed the incident, her daughter then rushed to help her get up, but ended up sliding ever further down the path instead, before suffering the same fate.

In an interview with Chinese media, the daughter. Identified as Jiang Qinglang on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, said: “I didn’t expect that I would fall further, but my feet were faster than my brain at that time.

“Neither of us was injured, but both I and my mum thought it was pretty funny at the time.”

The hilarious video made headlines after it was shared on the social media platform. Reaching more than 387,000 likes and another 566,000 shares.

Douyin user ‘Oh no!’ said: “I never thought it could snow so heavily in Dazhou.”

Then user ‘Beautiful bags.’ commented: “Walk slowly and pay attention to safety!”

And ‘Xiaosi’ added: “This made me laugh to death!”
