The bizarre video shows a father saving his child from slamming head-on on the road after nearly losing hold of the baby when he slipped on a snowy roadway.

Surveillance camera footage showed the father getting out of his vehicle while carrying the child in his arms in China’s northernmost province of Heilongjiang, on 27th January.

He then continued walking on the snow-covered road when suddenly he slipped and started falling, thus dropping the child, as a woman, reportedly his wife, attempted to help them.

But in the blink of an eye, he managed to regain balance and avoid crushing down, while lifting the falling baby just seconds before the child hit the ground.

The video shocked netizens after it was shared on China’s version of TikTok, Douyin, later that day. It has reached more than 376,000 likes and another 694,000 shares as of 30th January.

It left social media users unable to hold back from commenting.

Douyin user ‘Pure little fried chicken’ said: “If you drop the child and pick the child up within three seconds, it will be fine.”

Then user ‘Grier’ commented: “His eyes are really not as fast as his movements.”

And ‘Thank you pro’ added: “This child’s tendons are so stretched now. The child will definitely be tall in the future.”
