This is the heart-stopping moment a toddler dodges a massive pile of snow falling from the roof as its grandfather yells at it to get away in panic.

The scene was captured on surveillance cameras outside a home in Henan Province, in central China, on Tuesday noon, 6th February.

In the video, the little child was seen walking across the yard towards its grandfather, who was not named in local media.

All of a sudden, snow began gradually falling from the nearby roof.

The old man told the child to back away, but the toddler stopped and curiously observed the fallen snow instead.

Just seconds later, a massive amount of snow collapsed to the ground, causing the grandfather to shout in fear at the toddler to run away.

But the child simply took a few steps back, incredibly managing to avoid the snow by just a few inches.

The grandfather then hurriedly came to check the child’s condition. Thankfully, it was unharmed.

The clip attracted widespread attention on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, gaining more than 38,000 likes, over 3,500 comments, and approximately 23,000 shares.

One user titled ‘little flying pig’ said in a comment: “I watched it several times in a row and still didn’t understand how the child avoided the snow.”

User ‘a cloud’ wrote: “Fortunately, the child is smart and knows to move away backwards.”

And ‘September Maple Grove@’ said: “That was close! This agile and quick sidestep just happened to avoid each wave of snowfall.”
