Toddler Cuts Up Mum’s Housekeeping Cash

This is the costly jigsaw a horrified mum was left with after her toddler daughter cut up a stash of banknotes during a craft session.

The gutted mum saw her daughter playing with her craft scissors but thought she was cutting up coloured paper.

It was only when she later looked closer that the astonished mum saw her tot had actually sliced her way through her monthly housekeeping cash.

Footage that the mum, identified only by her first name Mahisaka, posted on social media on 8th December clearly struck a nerve with other parents.

In just two days, it had clocked up more than 13.5 million views on TikTok alone.

The clips show Mahisaka painstakingly piecing together tiny fragments and strips of Indonesian Rupiah with sticky tape.

Some large denomination notes had been shredded into tiny pieces, while others had thankfully been cut into large pieces.

Mahisaka, from Surakarta, told followers that the tricky task took her nearly four hours to complete.

Mercifully, according to reports in local media, the National Bank of Indonesia has a policy of taking back damaged notes and replacing them with new ones.

Social media users sympathised with the problem that could have happened to any parent.

One named as ‘Cichio’ said: “If toddlers are noisy, they are safe. But if he’s quiet, there’s a big, dangerous project he’s working on.”

And ‘Ms_W’ said: “It’s like this when a toddler doesn’t make a sound, there’s a project being worked on.”
