Fisherman Nearly Killed After Accidentally Touching High-Tension Wire

A fisherman narrowly avoided a horrifying death beside s small pond as he accidentally touched a high-voltage wire that he was seemingly unaware of.

The incident reportedly occurred at a fish farm in Shanghai, China’s biggest city.

CCTV footage shows two men squatting by the fish pond chatting. Afterwards, the two of them got up and prepared to leave.

After the man in red got up, he lifted the fishing rod and raised it above his head as he walked.

But he did so without realising there was a high-tension wire hanging above him, and he hit it with his rod and got caught in a sudden explosion.

Seeing this, his companion rushed over to his help and tried to pull him away by his leg. Scared he might get zapped by electricity as well, he also shouted for help.

He once again tried to get his friend to safety by carefully pulling him again. The red blouse his friend had worn completely burned and torn off as he was dragging him.

Miraculously, he survived the powerful electric shock.

The man had suffered numerous serious burns to his body and was rushed to a hospital.

There have been no reports on his current condition at the time of writing.
