This is the moment two eggs explode on a barbecue set up in a living room with a startling bang.
The video was filmed at a home in the city of Xichang in the Chinese province of Sichuan on 25th December, and the footage was later shared on the social network Douyin, which is what TikTok is known as in China, by Ms Ma.
Ms Ma said the eggs exploded while they were being seasoned on the grill, and a total of four went in up in smoke. She added that she had never tried to barbecue eggs before.
She said that no one was hurt in the incident, but a few guests were startled.
The eggs probably exploded due to heat expansion and contraction, as is common in microwave ovens. However, Ms Ma and her family are not the only Chinese diners to be startled by exploding eggs.
Last month, a diner was covered in egg and eggshell fragments after the restaurant reheated it and he prodded it with his chopsticks.
The egg blast was filmed at a diner in the city of Xuzhou in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu on 28th November while the man was enjoying a bowl of porridge with eggs.
According to the news site Baidu, the man asked the waitress to reheat his eggs, as they were cold, and she popped them in a microwave oven for a moment.
When the man prodded his chopsticks into one of the eggs, it exploded in his face and covered his hair and spectacles in yolk and egg white.
Despite the unpleasant dining experience, the man was unhurt in the incident, and did not appear too upset in the CCTV footage.
In the video, the diner is seen tugging at the egg white with his chopsticks before it suddenly explodes in his face.
The man recoils and springs to his feet to remove his egg-splattered glasses.
He shakes the egg pieces from his hands and wipes his brow before reporting the incident to the waitress.
