ZIPWIRE HORROR: Tourist Filmed Zipline Moments Before Cable Broke And Sent Him Crashing To His Death

These are some of the last chilling images filmed by a tourist showing a zipline moments before he plummeted to his death on the same ride.

The victim – named as Sergio Murilo de Lima Santana, 39 – died when the zipline snapped sending him crashing to the ground.

Moments earlier he had filmed this footage of a tourist happily riding the same line on Canoa Quebrada beach, Aracati, Ceara State, Brazil on 10th October.

The images show the long zipline spanning across the beach, with a woman seen going down it over some water on a windy afternoon.

Sergio, from Belem, Para state, was on holiday when the accident happened. He was seen by emergency workers and taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

He had been on holiday in the area with his partner, who has not been named, for six days before the tragic accident.

His friends and family posted messages on social media mourning his death, with one reportedly saying: “Another friend gone. A fatality. May God welcome you with open arms.”

The authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident. The Tourist Police Battalion of the Military Police was called to the scene. The investigation will be carried out by the Aracati Regional Police Station, according to local media.
