This is the moment a crying young girl believed to be as young as three has her tiny head and chest stepped on by a woman believed to be her mother.
The video was reportedly recorded in the state of Nuevo Leon in northern Mexico and has been widely shared on social networks.
In the video, a young girl, believed to be three or four years old, can be seen with a woman’s foot on her head.
The girl is crying but the woman continues standing on her before moving her feet to the child’s chest.
At one point the tot can be heard crying “my little chest” in Spanish as the woman places both feet on the girl’s chest. The young girl then appears to have difficulty breathing.
The woman then flips the child over and sits on her head, bouncing up and down on the tot who begins screaming.
The Nuevo Leon police have confirmed they are investigating the case but no arrests have been reported.
The woman has been nicknamed ‘La Hiena de Nuevo Leon’ (‘The Hyena of Nuevo Leon’) by netizens, some of whom say she is a woman named Briseidy.
Her identity has not been confirmed by the authorities and the investigation is ongoing.
