This dashboard camera footage show a huge lorry reverses over the bonnet of a car after the bungling trucker apparently tried to reverse around the vehicle and missed.

The footage which was shot in the town of Labytnangi, located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug region of Russia. 

It starts off with a man standing on a zebra crossing in order to stop the traffic so that the huge truck built by Russian off-road vehicle manufacturer Ural can reverse.

The dashboard camera which is fitted to the car that is stopped at the crossing films again a vehicle as it slowly goes backwards.

On one side an impatient white SUV speeds past the yellow lorry, and as the reversing vehicle gets close to the stopped , car the man guiding the proceedings moves forward to speak to the driver.

The car driver meanwhile is nervous at how close the lorry is getting, and tries to go backwards but presumably can only go so far because there are other vehicles behind him.

At that point despite the efforts of the guide, the lorry then strikes the car and climbs up onto the bonnet causing massive damage.

The door to the cab then swings open and it appears as if the driver is having difficulty stopping the vehicle, which may have been the cause of the accident. Either way despite driving up and over the car the lorry then continues to reverse without stopping as the driver fights to put on the brakes.

Local media reported that no one was injured as a result of the accident but the car was a write-off.
