This is the moment a dad is hit by a bus after he ran out to stop his toddler son sprinting across the road.

The tragic incident was filmed by the bus’ dash cam in the city of Kyzylorda in the southern Kazakh region of the same name, and the footage was posted on YouTube where it has been viewed 11,000 times.

In the footage, the bus is seen travelling along the road as a small boy runs across its path while the tot’s dad desperately tries to stop him.

With no time for the driver to react, the father manages to grab the boy, but only just before the bus crashes into him and sends him flying along the tarmac.

The youngster is not seen after the impact and the bus driver pulls over to the side of the road and hits a parked vehicle.

According to the local police, the brave dad was killed instantly while his young son was taken to hospital where he is being treated in intensive care.

The police are investigating the incident although it is not believed that the bus driver is culpable at this stage, according to reports.

Netizen ‘Steclov’ said: “It is a shame the dad not manage to push the kid further away.”

‘Arnulfo Torres’ commented: “This demonstrates how careful you always need to be around young children.”
