This is the moment an electric bike rider crashes head-on into a saloon and is launched into the air before landing right on the car’s roof.

The crash was captured by a traffic camera in the county of Tiandong in Baise, a city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in South China.

Footage of the traffic incident on 12th December shows the white saloon car attempting a sudden left turn through a junction when the unnamed e-biker slams into it.

The rider is unable to brake in time and is sent flying off his seat during the crossroads collision.

The male rider spins in the air, but instead of crashing back onto the road, he lands squarely on his back on the stopped car’s roof.

The footage shows a man and woman hurriedly exiting the saloon car to check on the e-biker, who is seen lying motionlessly on the vehicle’s roof.

In subsequent video, the rider is checked by arriving paramedics while his badly damaged e-bike lies on the ground nearby.

Tiandong County police said the man was taken to hospital for treatment and is not in any serious condition.

It is unclear whether he broke any bones during the incident, which is still being investigated.

No arrests had been made at the time of writing.
