Canada Cop In Serious Condition After Gunman Speeds Off With Him Clinging On Bonnet

This is the moment a suspected gunman drives off with a Canadian cop on the bonnet causing him to suffer serious injuries.

The officer held on to the suspect’s bonnet for 38 metres (125 feet) before falling off.

The incident happened in the city of Toronto in the Canadian province of Ontario at around 11.20pm on 21st November.

According to the Toronto police, a police officer patrolling the area at that time heard the sounds of nearby gunshots.

He then saw a car fleeing the area at a high speed and chased after it.

The officer eventually stopped the car and got out of his patrol vehicle to approach the suspect on foot.

However, as seen in the footage, the man drove off and carried the cop on the car bonnet for a reported distance of 125 feet.

The officer was immediately admitted to hospital and reportedly suffered serious injuries.

The suspect, later identified as Terry Baksh, 39, turned himself in on 30th November.

Baksh is now facing multiple charges including attempted murder, assault with a weapon, flight while pursued by a peace officer, and possession of property obtained by crime.

He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
