This is the shocking moment a five-year-old boy falls into a swimming pool and nearly drowns as adults walk past apparently unaware that the youngster is in trouble.
The near tragedy was caught on CCTV cameras at a swimming pool in the city of Ma’anshan in eastern China’s Anhui Province.
The footage shows the little boy come out of the changing room alone and crouch down by the water when he topples over and falls in.

Other swimmers can be seen walking up and down the poolside as the little boy struggles to keep his head above water.
And he was floating face down in the pool by the time a woman spots him, pokes him to see if he is OK and then shouts to raise the alarm.
The youngster’s dad then runs out of the changing rooms and jumps into the pool to pull his unconscious son onto the poolside.
Lifeguard Sun Mengwei tried to resuscitate the boy whose pulse was very weak and his body cold.
Sun later said: “After three minutes of CPR the boy finally moved his hand and started crying. His dad carried him off to hospital immediately.”
Fortunately, doctors pronounced the youngster was out of danger although he was kept in hospital for observation.
The boy’s father later told local media he and his son were taking a shower in the changing room when the youngster ran off without him noticing.
