This is the tragic young groom who died in a traffic accident as he drove four friends home from his wedding reception.

According to local media the groom Marko Andjelic, 32, from the northern Serbian capital Belgrade, died at around 00.40hrs while driving guests home after the reception in the city of Trebinje in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Reports said that the Serbian groom lost control of the Alfa Romeo he was driving for as yet unknown reasons and crashed into a wall.

A female wedding guest was rushed to intensive care with chest injuries, but is now said to be in a stable condition.

An unnamed man in the back seat suffered a fractured left hip and is also being treated in hospital.

Meanwhile, another occupant also suffered minor injuries and a fourth passenger did not require medical assistance, according to local media.

Andjelic’s bride, identified as Marija J., provided the funeral arrangements on social media for the road victim’s friends and family and said: “My beloved husband… please share so everyone is informed.”

One wedding guest told local media: “I am in shock. I just cannot believe what happened. It was such a joyous and happy occasion to be cut short by this tragic incident.”

The local authorities have confirmed that they are investigating the crash.
