These images show a young girl emerging from an X-ray luggage scanning machine while her parents were being checked by security.

CCTV images from Daminghu Railway Station in Jinan, capital of East China’s Shandong Province, shows the mischievous girl appearing on the other side of the X-ray scanner, shocking a staff member nearby.

The girl, aged five, and her parents were scheduled to a board train back to the city of Liaocheng when she decided to have some fun at their expense on 11th February.

She climbed onto the conveyor belt while her parents were busy walking through the metal detector and being checked with wands.

An X-ray shows the girl inside the scanning machine next to other items of luggage, while security footage shows her running off after popping out the other side.

Railway station security staff issued a warning to her parents but did not fine the mum and dad for failing to control their little girl.

Authorities say the girl put herself at risk of hurting herself inside the X-ray machine and also exposed herself to radiation.

However, the levels from most machines are low meaning the child is unlikely to have suffered serious harm given the short amount of time inside.
