This is the moment two teenage street robbers crash at high speed as they try to outrun a police car that caught them in the act.

The pair had been spotted by the patrol car as they carried out a mugging in Ingeniero Budge, Argentina on 26th December.

CCTV footage of the smash shows the pair as they race through a crossroads making no attempt to slow down and ploughing into the side of a car.

They hit the car with such force that it is knocked sideways and the two crooks are sent flying over the bonnet.

The trainer of one of the pair can be seen spinning through the air as it flies off and lands 20ft away.

The pair suffered multiple injuries in the crash and were taken by the 107 Emergency personnel to the Municipal Hospital of Llavallol.

They are currently remaining hospitalised and being guarded by cops from the 10th Police Station of Ingeniero Budge.

Police said that the pair had been chased for around a kilometre before the accident when they fled the scene of the robbery on Recondo street, in the Fiorito neighbourhood.

Local businessman Gustavo, who is the owner of the butcher shop that ended up recording the crash with his security camera, said he “was working elsewhere” at the time of the accident.

He added: “My employees warned me. I came quickly, scared. The first thing I thought was that they had broken into the butcher shop. Then I found out what happened. When we saw the images, we were surprised. It was a huge collision.”

The two who were injured were both reportedly underage.
