Two Teen Girls Die In Memphis Petrol Station Shooting

Two teenage girls aged 15 and 16 have died in a shooting at a petrol station in the city of Memphis.

The incident, which also resulted in a third girl and a nine-month-old boy being injured, took place in Memphis, a city in the US state of Tennessee, on Friday night (3rd December).

The Memphis Police Department (MPD) tweeted an update early in the morning of Saturday 4th December in which they said: “At 9:35 pm, Officers made the scene of a shooting at 3885 Elvis Presley where they located 3 victims. 2 juveniles xported to LeB, 1 critical and 1 non-critical. One female adult xported to ROH non-critical. Suspects fled in a blue 4dr Nissan Maxima. The investigation is ongoing.” (sic)

The two teenage girls have been named as Breuna and Alexus, although it is currently unclear which one was 15 and which one was 16. The two other victims who were injured in the incident have not been named.

The MPD later tweeted: “There were a total of four victims. Two deceased (15-year-old female, 16-year-old female), and two are listed as non-critical (16-year-old female, nine-month-old male).

“The victims were at the gas pump inside a red Infiniti when a dark-colored Nissan pulled up and fired multiple shots. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.

“The suspect vehicle has since been recovered.

“No arrests had been made. The cause of the shooting is undetermined at this time. The investigation is ongoing.”

No arrests had been made at the time of writing. The cops added: “This is an ongoing homicide investigation. Please call 901-528-CASH with tips.”
