A “possessed” mum in France allegedly threw her two young children – including a one-month-old baby – out of a third-floor flat window because “a voice” whispered to her that they were “devils.”
The incident took place at the Le Lutetia residence, in the Bondy commune of the suburbs of north-eastern Paris, when the mum, unnamed but who is 31 and who local media report was “possessed”, allegedly threw her “devil children” our of a third-floor flat window and then ran away.
The mum has since been arrested by the police after they intercepted her as she ran towards the Bondy train station. The children, a one-month-old baby boy and a three-year-old girl, both survived the 13-metre (42.6-foot) fall.
Local media report they both survived because the soil in front of the building, where they landed, is particularly sodden this time of year.
But an unnamed official is quoted in local media as saying: “The little girl could not feel her legs.”
On Monday evening, the baby boy’s condition was described as being “serious”.
Both children are in hospital. The mother has also been “hospitalised.”
The mum told officers that she had been “possessed” and that a “voice” had whispered to her that her children “were devils.”
Even more surprising, the woman’s neighbour is quoted as saying that they had “never seen this woman and her children before.”
The investigation is ongoing.
