The footage shows two actors, a man and a woman, who are arguing in the middle of the airport while some reporters record the performance.

Then the man is seen violently pulling the woman’s hair and taking her down to the floor.

A couple of policemen quickly appear on the scene subduing the man and immobilising him on the floor, seemingly unaware he is an actor.

An onlooker is heard saying to the cops: “It is a performance”

After the cops are told it is a performance they are seen releasing the actor and he continues playing his part in the street performance.

According to local media, the incident happened during a street performance which was launched by the European Union in the country to raise awareness on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women this 25th of November.

It is unknown if the actors belonged to a theatre company and their names have not been reported.

According to social leader Merly Eguigure of the women movement ‘Visitacion Padilla’, 315 women were murdered in Honduras between January and November this year.

Fourty seven percent of girls under the age of 18 are forced to get married or become part of a couple before this age, according to local authorities.
