A cruel mum has been using sticky tape to keep her baby daughter’s dummy in her mouth so she remains quiet.
Russian mum Yulia Vakula, 32, from the city of Kurgan in the south-western Russian region of Kurgan Oblast has been accused of mistreating her young daughter.
The baby girl, whose name is not reported, has been photographed with a dummy taped to her face.
An anonymous resident said: “She does that so the girl doesn’t spit out the dummy and cry.”
According to local media, the photo was taken at a local hospital being treated for pneumonia.
Online commentators slammed the mum for her inconsiderate actions and said the baby could vomit and choke with a dummy taped to her face.
Some residents claimed the mum is often dressed in dirty clothes and remarks that she would like to give her baby away.
The baby’s father reportedly left Vakula, who has two sons, shortly after the girl’s birth.
Vakula has claimed that the taped dummy helps with her daughter’s teething problems.
According to reports, the authorities are currently investigating the matter and the woman has been put on a watch list by the local social services.
Netizen ‘Daria Fedotko’ said: “I wish women like her could not have children.”
‘Sofia Vladimirova’ commented: “Why couldn’t onlookers take the tape off the baby? It would have been better than taking snaps!”
