US Marine And Pal Arrested For Shooting Father Of 3 In Bar Car Park During Row

A US Marine and his friend have been arrested for shooting a father of three at close range following a row in a bar.

Kyle Delangel, 37, was shot dead in the city of San Diego in the US state of California on 19th February.

Active duty US Marine Damani Jerry Wiltshire-Beal, 22, and his companion Samuel Victor Perez, 23, have been arrested for killing Delangel, a father of three children.

Wiltshire-Beal is reportedly stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego.

According to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), the victim was embroiled in a row with the two suspects as they left the bar in the early hours.

In the car park, Delangel was hit by a black Chevrolet and when he got to his feet and approached the driver’s window, he was shot at close range, according to the police.

The police did not confirm who was driving the Chevrolet at the time and who is suspected of shooting the gun.

The authorities said the two suspects immediately fled the scene and officers arrived at around 2am after reports of gunshots.

Delangel was taken to the Scripps La Jolla Hospital, where he died nearly five hours after arrival.

Wiltshire-Beal and Perez were arrested at their homes later on 19th February.

They are being kept in separate housing units in the county jail as the investigation continues.

The suspects are next due to appear before a judge on the afternoon of 24th February.

Isabelle, who launched a GoFundMe campaign to help the victim’s family, wrote: “This is Kyle Delangel a 37-year-old father of 3 kids, a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a grandson who was taken away from his family way too soon.

“Kyle was shot at a bar fight and passed. Kyle was the life of the party and made everyone smile and laugh. He was a light to everyone he knew. He was loved. No mother, no sibling no one should ever have to lose their loved one in such a cruel way.

“We appreciate any help for his mother and his children who are going through a tragedy because of these cruel selfish people who not only took his life, but ruined so many.”
