This is the incredible moment emergency workers rescue an elderly driver after his car crashed in a retention pond.

The dramatic rescue reportedly took place in Longwood, in the US State of Florida on 28th March.

It all reportedly began when a male caller reported that a vehicle had left the roadway and driven into the pond.

Longwood Police Sergeant Kris Burnham and Officer Bryce Snyder arrived at the scene and immediately entered the water to perform a rescue.

Officer Snyder successfully broke out the driver’s window and cut the seatbelt to remove the elderly male driver from the vehicle.

The driver was reportedly transported to a local hospital where he is expected to fully recover.
