Ukrainian kamikaze drones have taken out a Russian tank and a BMP.

The footage appears to show multiple Ukrainian kamikaze drones honing in on a moving Russian tank and hitting it.

The images were obtained from the 24th Separate Assault Battalion ‘Aidar’ of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday, 28th January, along with a statement saying: “Right on target — the fighters of ‘Aidar’ destroyed an enemy tank and BMP.

“A well-aimed strike by our drone pilots made it possible to disable the enemy’s equipment.”

The images were also relayed by the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Monday, 29th January, along with a statement saying: “The Russian equipment was disabled by the drone of the Aidar assault battalion.”

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February 2022 in what the Kremlin is still calling a “special military operation.” Today marks the 706th day of the full-scale war.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 30th January 2024, Russia had lost approximately 384,140 personnel, 6,300 tanks, 11,725 armoured combat vehicles, 9,144 artillery units, 972 multiple launch rocket systems, 663 air defence systems, 332 warplanes, 324 helicopters, 7,084 drones, 1,846 cruise missiles, 23 warships, 1 submarine, 12,191 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 1,448 units of special equipment.

The Russian Ministry of Defence has said that its troops have taken control of Tabaivka. A village in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.

But Ukraine denied this, with Volodymyr Fityo, the head of communications for Ukraine’s Ground Forces, saying: “This does not correspond to reality. There are battles taking place near this locality.”

Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State warned on Monday that Ukraine’s gains over two years of fighting were in jeopardy without additional US funding.
