TRAGIC TOT: Three-Year-Old Boy Dies In 50ft Horror Fall From Shopping Centre

A three-year-old boy died in a horror fall from the fourth floor of a shopping centre.

The victim – named as Luan Vaz Moraes – died after he plunged from the upper story of the mall in Cruz Alta, Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil, on 5th September.

The young boy fell 50 feet from the mezzanine of the Erico Veríssimo shopping centre and landed in the basement, according to the local fire department.

The fire department reportedly called to the scene at around 2:30 PM the day of the incident.

Upon arriving they realised Luan had suffered extremely serious injuries and he was taken to the Sao Vicente de Paulo Hospital by ambulance.

But the child succumbed to his injuries. He was reportedly accompanied by his father, who has not been named, and both were tourist in the town, walking through the shopping centre while waiting for their bus to leave town.

It was unclear exactly how the child managed to end up falling, and authorities are currently investigating the incident in order to determine whether there was any negligence.

The owner of the shopping centre, named in reports as Mario Bisso Otero, extended his condolences to the family and promised to collaborate with the investigation.
