This is the moment two teenage boys without helmets run a red light on a scooter and slam into the side of a car sending them flying and landing the passenger in a coma.
The accident happened in Longnan County in China’s easter province of Jiangxi at the junction of Longxiang Avenue and Yilong Road.
Traffic camera footage dated 27th July shows the two boys, both 16, entering the crossroads and headed straight for the white saloon car they eventually hit.

The rider appears to swerve in a bid to avoid a collision, but he crashes into the front of his car, and both he and his friend are sent flying onto the road.
According to local police, the rider broke several of his bones during the crash and was responsive, but his friend hit his head during the hard landing and was unconscious at the scene.
Neither teenager was wearing a motorcycle helmet.
County police said the teenager rider, who did not have a licence, was treated in a local hospital where his friend still remains in a coma as a result of the accident.
He will be held fully liable for the crash but may face further punishment for theft after he admitted to police he and his friend “found the scooter on the side of the road”.
Further investigations are ongoing.
