Shock As Bus Ploughs Into Crowd Crushing Four

This is the shocking moment a coach pulling into a bus station shoots forwards into waiting passengers instead of stopping causing numerous injuries before the driver ran off.

The incident occurred in the city of Navsari in the state of Gujarat in India, when the bus driven by a man identified as Praveen Dhandhal, failed to stop as it was pulling into a busy station, instead mounting the curb and crashing into waiting passengers.

The incident was caught on CCTV and shows the bus hitting people standing on the platform before reversing backwards, with the driver then said to have fled the scene.

Three people including two women died and another person was injured and was identified as Monika Nitesh Paul. She is undergoing treatment and remains stable. The deceased have been identified as Varsha Bhavesh Halpati, 35, Kanaiyalal Vekariya, 45, Bhadra Dipak Patel, 57.

The bus was set to travel to the town of Amalsad and people were waiting for it on platform 3.

After the incident, frustrated passengers vandalised the bus while the family members of the victims did not allow the police to take their bodies.

Police have opened a case against the driver.

Netizen ‘Sujay Kumar Ghosh’ commented: “The culprit should be punished… seems like the driver was drunk.”

And ‘Sriram Jayashree’ added: “Instant punishment is the only solution.”

It is unclear if the driver had been apprehended at the time of writing
