This is the moment an out-of-control car speeds out an underground car park and slams through several barriers to pin an SUV against the side of a bus.

CCTV images from the 3rd January incident show the black saloon racing out the ramp and speeding into the road in the city of Shantou in China’s southern Guangdong Province.

The male motorist is unable to brake in time as his car smashes through metal traffic dividers and rams the side of an SUV, which is pushed into a bus.

Footage taken in the aftermath of the freak traffic accident shows the saloon car pinning the SUV, which is badly dented on the left side.

It is pinned against the bus, which appears to have had several of its windows shattered during the impact.

The authorities say the blundering motorist, who has not been named, suffered minor injuries, as did the SUV owner.

They were taken to hospital for a checkup, while all passengers on the bus escaped unharmed.

The driver reportedly revealed to witnesses that he “lost control of the car”, but it is still unclear what exactly transpired in the lead up to the crash.

Further investigations are ongoing.
