This is the moment a wedding reception turns into chaos with guests throwing chairs at each other after a brawl erupted between the groom and bride’s sides.

The altercation reportedly occurred at the Buddha Lal Badlu Prasad Dharmshala, in Lucknow, in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh, on the night of Friday, 9th February.

Dramatic footage shows the guests flinging red-coloured plastic chairs into the air and hitting each other with them.

Several women got injured while attempting to intervene and break up the fight.

It is currently unclear what led to the violent row, but according to some reports the conflict began during the DJ dance.

First there was an argument between a few members of both parties, local media reported, but others quickly joined in on the clash.

At least three guests reportedly got head injuries. One of them was identified as a woman named Akshara. The other two were identified as Mahak and Balwant Sonkar.

It was not until police were called that the situation was brought under control. Those involved in the fight were later taken to the police station for questioning.

So far, there have been no official complaints filed with authorities.

The incident is under investigation.
