Council officials have issued an eviction notice to a man who built a garage for his vehicle – in the middle of the road.

The footage of the incident shows the roofed garage in the middle of a road with his van parked in the middle of it, leaving locals and cops baffled.

The garage had apparently been erected on the road in a neighbourhood in Kuantan, the capital city of the state of Pahang, on the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia, on Sunday, 29th January.

The Kuantan City Council said in a statement on Facebook obtained by Newsflash on 29th January: “The garage in the middle of the street.

“Strange but true. Another extraordinary case. A garage left in the middle of the road for parking purposes. The incident took place in Seri Mahkota.

“An eviction order notice has been issued. Upon failure to comply with the notice, enforcement action will be taken.”

Netizens were left baffled by the strange incident, with hundreds of leaving comments may saying that the suspect, who has not been named, is “on a different level from other drivers”.

Another netizen said: “This is the work of a madman”.

While one joked: “He should just build a house there, complete with a sleeping place. That way, if he were to get run over tomorrow morning, he wouldn’t feel a thing because he’d be dead asleep.”
