This is the shocking moment when a gang of yobs attack a man in broad daylight to steal his mobile phone and wallet.

CCTV footage of the attack in the town of Laferrere, near the Argentine capital Buenos Aires, shows the defenceless victim overwhelmed by the ferocity of the attack.

After hammering him with punches and kicks the gang begins to break up

Still groggy, the victim begins to get to his feet only to be knocked senseless by a vicious kick in the face in the attack at 6.30am on 21st November.

But as he lies unconscious on the tarmac, three cars swerve so they can drive past him without having to stop.

A second clip shows the victim – named in local media as Diego Ortega, 32 – as the attack begins.

As the gang runs towards him, one grabs him in a chokehold while another hits him over the head with a bottle.

His sister – named only as Micaela in local media – says he was left “disfigured” and in hospital.

She added: “They gave him four stitches on his head, bandaged it and cleaned it because it was full of blood and mud. He was unrecognisable.”

The authorities are currently investigating the incident and have made one arrest, with the suspect being named as Pablo Cesar Thomas Goddard, 21.

The authorities are currently looking for the rest of the criminal gang.
