This is the u-neigh-xpected moment ranchers on horseback help deputies wrangle a runaway cow along a busy highway in Florida.

The riders were able to successfully capture the animal found wandering on a busy stretch of Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County on 3rd April.

Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) also responded to the scene and controlled oncoming traffic to ensure the safe capture.

Aerial footage obtained by Newsflash from the HCSO shows ranchers chasing the bovine as deputies slow down nearby traffic.

The video was shared on social media with the caption: “Udderly great news”.

HCSO said in a short statement Newsflash obtained: “With the help of local ranchers, #teamHCSO wrangled a cow that had made its way to I-75 near Big Bend Road!

“Loose cows on the road pose a serious threat, thankfully, we were able to keep drivers and the community safe.”
