This is the moment a pit bull attacks and kills a cat as the dog’s female owner gives up trying to stop it and idly watches the pooch carry out the killing.
The incident was recorded by a CCTV camera in the town of Krumovgrad in the province of Kardzhali in southern Bulgaria.
In the video, the pit bull can be seen chasing after the stray cat when it manages to catch it in its jaws.
The dog’s owner, who has not been named but is said to be around 60 years old, calmly walks over as the dog rips into the cat.
She appears to try to put a lead on the dog but quickly gives up and allows the dog to finish off the cat.
An onlooker then walks up to her and exchanges a few words with her before she puts the lead on the dog. The pit bull can be seen flinging the cat’s body and it then keeps it in its mouth until its owner forces it to drop it.
The police have started an investigation into the incident and are trying to find out why the dog owner allowed it to walk without a muzzle causing the death of the cat.
Netizen ‘Grad Kozlodui’ commented: “That grandma is a psycho sadist.”
While ‘Gabi Aleksandrova’ added: “Sick minds, how can they leave the dog killing the little cat?”
And ‘Borislav Angelov’ wrote: “This could’ve been a child why is the dog without a muzzle and not on lead?”
