He continues to dance along the street and nonchalantly throws another wad of cash in the air.

Adolfo Palacios, a local photographer who witnessed the scene, told Newsflash he was leaving a supermarket when he saw a group of people following the man.

Palacios said: “He was accompanied by two women, one of them had a stereo and the other one was holding a mobile phone recording everything.

“I know he was a tourist because he was speaking English with the girls and was wearing a bracelet typical in tourist hotels.”

Palacios said the strange man threw banknotes of COP 2,000 (GBP 0.41 ) and 1 US (GBP 0.75 ) into the air on at least four separate occasions.

He added: “I do not know who he was or why he did it, but he kept on doing the same thing for a while. In the end, I had to return to the supermarket.”
