Moment Drug Dealer Tries To Flee Chasing Cop Car On Bicycle

This is the moment a suspected drug dealer tries to escape from a chasing cop car on his bicycle.

The incident was filmed in Marion County in the US state of Florida on 28th June.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said on social media: “Deputy Stringer attempted a traffic stop on a bicyclist who did not have visible rear lights while driving at night.

“The bicyclist, Nicholas Meekins, was entering the parking lot of the Dollar General located at 6725 SE Maricamp Road and fled when he saw the patrol car.

“Deputy Stringer did not initiate a pursuit, but he followed Meekins in his patrol vehicle from the roadway.”

According to the police, Meekins pedalled down several streets, through residents’ gardens, and in-between homes before Officer Stringer was able to catch up with him and give chase on foot.

The suspect again refused to stop when instructed and Officer Stringer used his taser to end the chase and arrest him.

The police said: “He was placed into handcuffs and continually advised he ran because he believed there was a warrant for his arrest.

“Meekins did in fact have a felony warrant for the possession and sale of fentanyl.”

He was placed under arrested on the warrant, charged with resisting, and booked into the Marion County Jail without bond.
