This is the moment an influencer forces her puppy to inhale cannabis smoke, causing outrage amongst netizens.

Gabrielly Milhomem, who boasts over 11,000 followers on Instagram, appears in the video that quickly went viral, attaining at least 32,000 views.

In the clip, she can be seen taking a pull on a cannabis cigarette, holding her puppy’s head with her hand, and blowing the smoke at close distance into its face.

As she carries out the act, a male voice can be heard giggling and saying: “Don’t do that, sis. Poor animal. That’s cruelty, sis.”

Politician Igor Normando, who represents the Brazilian state of Para from which the influencer hails, has since revealed on social media that the young woman was summoned to her local police station in the municipality of Jacunda to explain her actions on 16th May.

She was questioned and subsequently released, and it is not clear if she faces punishment for her actions, which constitute a crime in Brazil, punishable with two to five years in prison and a fine.

The page of local animal shelter ‘Au Family’ shared the video, tagging the state police force and writing: “This crime cannot go unpunished.”

The team of the politician from the centre-to-centre-right Podemos party is currently trying to ascertain the dog’s whereabouts.
