This little lad and his mum have been stabbed to death allegedly by his dad, who then called police to calmly tell them what he had done.

Shocked cops then found the bodies of 27-year-old Anna T. and six-year-old Alexander lifeless in the flat in the town of Cloppenburg in Lower Saxony.

The suspected killer identified as Victor T., husband and father of the two murder victims, then allowed himself to be arrested without resistance.

Police said the drama played out the weekend in the late afternoon of 30th January.

Neighbours said that the couple appeared to be a picture postcard family with a little boy who was born three months premature turning out to be a smart and popular lad, and seemingly much loved by his parents.

Victor had even proposed to Anna when he discovered she was pregnant.

However, increasingly in recent months, the neighbours had heard sounds of arguments between the Russian man and his Polish wife from the apartment.

One neighbour told German newspaper Bild: “We simply cannot understand it. We saw them together on the street on Friday.”

The suspect did not provide any information after his arrest. At the request of the public prosecutor’s office, his temporary placement in a psychiatric hospital was ordered.
