Man Missing After Tractor Swept Away On Flooded Bridge

This is the moment people scream in shock as a tractor with three people on board is swept away as it tries to cross a flooded bridge, with one person still missing.

The incident took place near the village of Kiyat in the district of Buinsky located in the south-western Russian republic of Tatarstan during a period of rainstorms and flash floods.

According to local media, many residents are using SUVs or other off-road vehicles to drive on the flooded streets.

Three local residents decided to cross a flooded bridge in the tractor, but the vehicle was swept away and eventually sank in the water before being lifted out by a crane several hours later, according to reports.

Two of the occupants managed to escape the tractor in the first minutes, but a third person was not so lucky and reportedly remains missing.

The tractor was raised from the riverbed a few hours later, but the missing person’s body was not inside, according to local media.

The local authorities continue their search for the unnamed missing man.

There have been no further updates on the condition of the other two occupants and it is unclear whether an investigation has been opened yet.
