Identical Sisters Marry Twin Brothers

Twin brothers have married a pair of identical teen sisters while all wearing identical outfits in a bizarre double-double wedding.

Identical twins Larissa Camile and Leticia Aline Lazzarin, 19, became an internet sensation when they revealed they were romancing identical twin brothers Lucas and Filipe Orsato, 21.

Now the couples have told how they married in Toledo, in Parana State, Brazil, on 24th January.

Video footage from the ceremony shows the sisters dressed in identical white wedding gowns with identical bouquets as they turn to give a double thumbs up.

Their grooms, wearing matching navy suits, white shirts and white trainers, kiss the brides after both couples signed the register.

Behind them, a puzzled-looking sash-wearing official looks as if he is wondering if he married the right couples.

The four captioned their footage: “It’s not enough to be twins, you have to marry twins.”

In another social media post, the sisters said: “We will exchange twin brothers for twin hearts.

“Divorcing our birth partners to marry our soul accomplices.”

Felipe, who is Leticia’s husband, told local media: “We are very happy and we are going to take a week off from filming for the networks. Now we are going on our honeymoon.”

Previously the pairs revealed how they can tell which twin is which even though they are indistinguishable to outsiders.

To make life even more confusing both brothers sport beards which neither of them will shave off.

Filipe explained at the time: “We joked about the issue of the beard, but no one ever kissed it wrong, nor hugged anything!

“As we’ve lived together for a long time, I kind of think there isn’t that much to it, like a memorised technique.

“Like, mine, Leticia, is shorter, but by the way she looks, the way she walks, the way she talks, we already know which one she is.”

And Leticia explained that they are used to spotting the small differences despite both sets of twins being identical.

She said: “It’s automatic for us now.”

Larissa added that her then-boyfriend Lucas and his brother “are completely different people”.

Lucas said jokingly: “People think we’re confusing, but it’s just entertainment. It may look like that sometimes from afar, so we expect it.”

Larissa said: “I think we almost always lived like three minutes away from their house, but we didn’t know we lived that close, we didn’t even know each other.”

However, geneticist Salmo Raskin has warned that if the two couples ever have children their offspring will be almost as close as brothers and sisters.

The doctor said the rare phenomenon called “quaternary twins” would give the children the same sort of DNA mix similar as siblings.

Dr Raskin told local media: “Genetically, they have more genetic material in common, these cousins, than from parents who are not twins.

“So, they have material as if they were genetically from siblings,

“The number of quaternary twins in the population is very small, because being a twin is already rare, being a monozygotic twin is even rarer. Marrying twins is even rarer.”

In one earlier video filmed at a gym in Toledo, Brazil, Larissa Lazzarin joked about the confusion saying: “That one over there is my twin, and I’m almost certain he’s my boyfriend, then I get confused.”

Then she looks at her sister’s then-boyfriend working out nearby and says: “But when I look at the other one, I realise that he’s my boyfriend, but still, he really looks like mine.

“They’re too alike, maybe we switched and didn’t even notice, but this one here is mine.”

Larissa, 19, wrote alongside the video, which was viewed 11.9 million times in just two days: “It’s a real head-scratcher.”

One TikTok user commented: “I imagine the gym getting all confused when they see a couple on one side and suddenly see another on the other side.”

Another joked: “Can you imagine both couples having twin children?”

And a third suggested: “You could wear matching bracelets so both of you know who is who.”

The two couples – Larissa Lazzarin and Lucas Orsato, and Leticia Lazzarin and Filipe Orsato – live in Toledo, Brazil, and are also active on Instagram.
