This bloodied and disfigured young mum was reportedly beaten with a rock so badly by her violent husband in front of their four children that her nose was turned into a “jigsaw puzzle”.

The incident was filmed in Cochani in the district of Upahuacho in the province of Parinacochas located in the southern Peruvian region of Ayacucho after the mother was allegedly beaten by her partner Narcizo Huayllaquispe Santi, 29.

The shocking footage shows the bloodied and disfigured woman, identified as 29-year-old Maria Huayhua Santi, struggling to her feet as her children sob around her.

Reports said that Huayllaquispe Santi beat his four young children before turning his attentions on his wife, who he beat with a rock.

Local residents heard the family’s cries and arrived on the scene to help the mother.

She was taken to a nearby hospital where she is still undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, her four children are being cared for by relatives until she is ready to return home.

The victim’s sister told local media: “Her nose is practically shattered, it is like a jigsaw puzzle. The doctors told me they have to put it together again.”

Huayllaquispe Santi has since been arrested and the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Population of Peru said that he will be kept in police custody for nine months as the authorities investigate the case.

Reports said that he has a criminal record of violence and rape.
