FLEET SUCCESS: Lotto Winner To Buy Cars For Sons and Grandsons

The New Year started off well for one family after a USD-1-million lottery win meant a woman paying off her mortgage and buying cars for her sons and grandsons.

Mum and gran Ivy Veal-Sanders had picked up a ticket on the spur of the moment after a trip to New Family Supermarket on 205 Humboldt Ave. in Dorchester – a neighbourhood of Boston, USA.

She is the Massachusetts State Lottery’s first USD-1-million prize winner of 2023 on the ‘USD 4,000,000 Money Bags’ instant ticket game.

The win is also good news for the ticket seller, as the store will receive a USD-10,000 bonus for the sale of the ticket.

The lucky woman can be seen here collecting her oversized cheque in Dorchester on 3rd January.

The lottery said that rather than have the money paid out over time, she had opted to receive a lump sum payment of USD 650,000.
