A multi-millionaire lotto winner has boasted how he picked up his new cop girlfriend when she pulled him over for speeding.
Reformed jailbird Kursat Yildirim – known as Chico to fans – has been single since he found fame when he scooped a EUR 9.9 (GBP 8.7 million) jackpot last year.
But now Chico – from Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia State, Germany – has told how he fell for a red-head police chief inspector when she pulled him over.
The 42-year-old former crane driver showed off his new love in a series of social media snaps last week after months of secret dating.
Some show the couple getting their trills on rides at a fun fair.
And in one Chico is seen holding a giant gingerbread heart with ‘Ich Leibe Dich’ – German for ‘I Love You’ – written on it in icing.
Canny Chico would only identify his new love as 36-year-old Candice N.
Candice told how she ordered Chico to stop when she spotted him speeding.
She said: “Mr Yildirim thought he was coming down the street a little too quickly and didn’t see that I was standing at the intersection.”
But after taking his ticket, Chico couldn’t help asking her for a date.
He said: “I’m not usually like that but I asked her: ‘Maybe we can go for a coffee together?’ .”
Candice added: “Because he was so persistent, I gave in, as per the motto: ‘A coffee doesn’t kill you’. I thought it would end quickly.”
Now after several months of keeping their relationship to themselves, the pair revealed they no longer want to keep their love a secret.
Chico said: “I fell in love with Candice right away, the red hair, the freckles, her amazing body – I can’t get enough of her.
“She has a big heart, radiates so much humanity. She is self-confident and has both feet firmly on the ground. I can rely on them 100 percent.”
Candice added: “I knew before our first date that he was a man I could call anytime.
“Who would move mountains for me if necessary. I love his strength and his loyalty, whatever he wants, he does it straight away.
“Chico is very humorous and also shows me aspects of himself that hardly anyone else knows. Behind the guy with the big mouth is a very soft heart.”
Commenting on the fact that Chico’s inbox has been flooded with messages from women since his win Candice said: “Of course I didn’t take Chico for his money.
“I’ve been financially independent for a long time. Although I like being taken out to dinner by him so often, I deliberately didn’t want any expensive gifts from him.
“The first exception came after many weeks. To show me how important I am to him, he gave me a Louis Vuitton handbag. It brought me to tears.”
She concluded: “I love spending time with him. But I don’t want to give up my independence.
“My full-time job as a state officer with the Dortmund police is still very important to me.”
The 42-year-old son of hard-working Turkish migrant parents -once jailed for fraud and robbery – went on a massive spending spree after his win.
He splashed out more than EUR 1.5 million (GBP 1.3 million) within a month.
As well as a GBP 392,000 V8 Ferrari 448 Pista and a Porsche Turbo S Cabriolet, he also snapped a penthouse in Istanbul.
And he’s a regular at luxury stores like Rolex, Prada, Gucci and Versace.
