This daredevil mechanic looks like he deserves a role in a fast and furious movie after he was filmed fixing a vintage car – while it was being driven down the road.

Locals were amazed when the car with the bonnet open went by with the mechanic standing on the bumper and engine block fixing it when going past on a street in Turkey.

Most were open-mouthed, but one person managed to quickly film the incident on their mobile phone when it took place in the town of Bursa’s central Yıldırım District on the Otosansit Industrial Site.

Local media reported that it was a classical car of Turkish design, and that the mechanic had decided to take the unusual method of repairing it in motion in order to track down a difficult to fix electrical problem.

The mobile footage was then shared online where it quickly went viral as the car turned a corner with the man sitting on the front and repairing the engine while leaning round the bonnet to give instructions to the driver.

Online commentators were baffled as to how the driver was able to move at all given the fact that the bonnet was completely obscuring their vision, and the mechanic who was working in the engine compartment was facing the wrong way to see anything.
