Two Arrests Over Kidnapping And Robbery Of Popular Gamer With Nearly 5 Million Followers

Cops have arrested two young men suspected of kidnapping and robbing a young gamer with 4.9 million followers on Instagram.

The police arrested the two 27-year-old men for kidnapping 22-year-old Arthur Ramos, aka Crusher Fooxi, who has been described as a “legend” of the game Free Fire, along with his girlfriend and her mother.

Officers have also identified a third suspect, aged 28.

Arthur, his girlfriend and her mother were victims of a so-called “express kidnapping” in Arthur’s girlfriend’s house in the Brazilian municipality of Pariquera-Acu on 18th August.

The two criminals forced the three into their vehicle and drove them to the city of Sao Paulo – a roughly three-hour trip, during which the criminals made them carry out bank transfers totalling BRL 35,000 (GBP 4,898).

The duo also stole their mobile phones, a car stereo and other personal items worth an estimated BRL 73,000 (GBP 10,215).

Afterwards, the criminals left the victims in Sao Paulo and fled. The day after the crime, Arthur took to Twitter to write: “Worst day of my life yesterday. I’m going to take a few days off and then I’ll tell you what happened.”

The crime was reported to the police, who, during their investigations, were able to identify two suspects, whose preventive detention has been judicially approved.

One was arrested in Sao Paulo on 23rd August and the other in Pariquera-Acu two days later. The second man did not directly participate in the kidnapping, but he provided the two with a place to stay and also gave them information about the victim’s routine.

At the time of reporting, steps were being taken to arrest the third suspect.
