This shocking footage allegedly shows a drunk doctor filmed by a dad who turned up to complain about his son being given cream when his arm was in plaster.

The angry dad wanted to demand an explanation from the paediatric traumatologist at the Mozdok city polyclinic in North Ossetia as to how the boy was supposed to apply the cream.

When he realised that the man appeared to be drunk, he used his phone to record the incident in order to complain.

The doctor was identified as Denis Prokhorov, who apparently comes from a family of doctors. His age was not known but his father Viktor Prokhorov was the head of the Mozdok Polyclinic and has the title of Honoured Doctor of Russia. His mother also works at the same medical facility.

The dad who filmed the video repeatedly demanded to know if he had been drinking, and demanded to speak to the head doctor.

The specialist accused of being drunk however replied several times: “Let’s not.” A short while later he decided to leave the surgery, and at first could not use the door and then had trouble going down the stairs, almost falling against the window.

The alleged drunken doctor had apparently been working at the clinic for just over a year, and a spokesman for the Ministry of Health confirmed they were investigating, and if anybody was found to have breached labour laws governing their duties they would be punished.

The statement was made shortly before it was revealed that the doctor had been fired.

Online commentator ‘Anna Kandratieva’ said: “And our lives depend on such people… This is absurd.”

And another, ‘Savva Ivanov’, said: “He recorded this correctly and showed everyone. I hope he stays fired.”
