DEATH MYSTERY OF TYCOON’S DAUGHTER: Student Found Dead In Her London Home

A wealthy motor industry tycoon’s 24-year-old daughter has been found dead in her home in London, it has emerged.

University student Leyla Ciftkurt’s body was discovered after her mother Asli Cetiner raised the alarm when she had not been able to contact her for two days.

Her friends had not seen her and university staff told her actress mother she had not been attending lectures.

Leyla’s death was first reported in the media in Turkey, where her father Tahsin Ciftkurt is a partner in the Cifkurt Automotive business.

Police reportedly found her body at her home but have given no details of how she died or if they are looking for any suspects.

Sabah journalist Bulent Cankurt broke the news in Turkish media saying: “Yesterday at noon, I received very sad news. Leyla Ciftkurt, the 24-year-old daughter of Asli Cetiner, one of the famous names of the high society, with businessman Tahsin Ciftkurt, was found dead in her home in London, where she was studying at university.

“When her mum Asli did not hear from Leyla for two days, she called her university in London, and was told that she did not go to school, so she asked her friends for help.

“Leyla’s friends then had a great shock when they entered her house, accompanied by the police. Unfortunately, Leyla was found dead in her home. Destroyed by this sad news, Aslı flew to London yesterday.”

He added that the police have not yet made a statement about Leyla’s mysterious death but said rumours were circulating that Leyla may have committed suicide.

He added: “I wish God’s mercy on Leyla, who is mourned by her family and fans.”
