The newspaper reports that a man had rented an apartment on that street, near the Alma bridge, on Airbnb last weekend.

But unfortunately for the partygoers, the owner of the flat received a phone call at about 3 AM from another person who lives in the building.

The neighbour was very angry about all of the noise which appears to be coming from the flat.

The owner then went to the flat to sort it out. That is when he realised that the person who had rented the apartment had invited at least 200 people over for a party.

The man stood in the middle of all the noise and demanded that the occupants put an end to the party.

The partygoers did not want to stop so he turned off the electricity. That is when most of the people left the flat.

But two people attacked the owner and beat him up. During the assault, they also reportedly stole an expensive watch from him, a Breguet worth approximately 45,000 EUR (41,000 GBP).

The man alerted the police. But when they arrived, the suspects had already fled.

An investigation has been opened and the owner has filed a complaint. Thankfully he was only lightly wounded. It is unclear if the police have made any arrests. No names were mentioned in local media reports.
