A newly-married 21-year-old woman was crushed to death when the retro-style jeep her father was driving flipped over and landed on top of her.

Local media reported that the 70-year-old man, his wife, and their daughter, and her husband were in the Jeep Willys on their way to a rural part of Canelinha in Brazil to buy a suckling pig.

But en route – on 29th January – the dad lost control of the vehicle, flipping it over.

Adrielli Geraldo, who was in the trailer with her mum, was thrown out as the jeep overturned.

She fell to the ground just before the heavy vehicle landed on top of her, crushing her to death.

By the time firefighters arrived on the scene, Adrielli was dead.

The others were taken to hospital but were found to be uninjured, local media reported.

Local media said Adrielli had tied the knot with her husband just 20 days earlier.

She lived in Brusque, where she studied Management at the private university Uniasselvi, according to her social media page.

Her dad was inconsolable after the accident, reportedly crying: “I’ve killed my daughter.”

It is not clear if police are investigating the case.
