This is the moment a pair of super-tough police officers leap out of their crashed car shrugging off broken bones to seize two armed robbers trying to flee on a motorbike.

One of the injured cops had a broken arm and had to be taken to hospital following the dramatic chase in Rio Branco, Acre state, Brazil on 25th December.
CCTV video of the dramatic showdown shows a dead-end road that stops at a stream seconds before the motorbike comes speeding along and skids along the ground.
The police car – following seconds later – is not so lucky and flies into the river, crashing into the water below.

The crooks, who appear to be dazed, seem so intimidated to see the officers climbing up the river bank towards them that they surrender immediately with their hands in the air.
The video ends with one police officer training his gun on the two crooks as the other rushes over to handcuff them.
The police car was later removed from the river using a tow truck.
Police said that the motorcycle diving, a red CG Titan 125, had also been stolen on the day before the men carried out the robbery.

The gun used in the robbery, a 38 calibre revolver, was also recovered.
